Getting Jelly bean 4.1 on any Sony xperia S is easy to do and only requires a few number of steps.

PLEASE BEFORE YOU GO THROUGH WITH THIS , I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE THAT MIGHT HAPPEN TO YOUR PHONE AND YOU AGREE THAT YOU ARE DOING THIS WILLINGLY AT YOUR OWN RISK...

THINGS YOU NEED TO GET STARTED

  1. You need a computer
  2. You also need an internet connection to download needed programs or software's

  1. An original or very strong android USB cable

Before you begin you have to download the following software's

after you have these two things downloaded, the next step is to
  1. Install the flashtool on your computer
  2. Go to local disk on your  computer, open it and select the flashtool folder
  3. Now select drivers and install all by ticking the boxes so you do not miss any important drivers
  4. Copy the downloaded firmware above ( XperiaS_LT26i_6.2.B.1.96_1257-)
  5. Open local disk again and select the flash tool folder again but this time select firmware, open it and paste downloaded firmware in there and close it.
  6. Now run or open flashtool for sony mobile and click on the thunder sign (flash device) on the top left corner and when a window pops up select flashmode.
  7. On top in the source folder box , browse to where you have saved the downloaded firmware on your computer and select it.
  8. make sure in the big firmware box on the left below your select firmware is selected.
  9. Now click on flash and you will get a pop up box but dont follow the step there because the phone shown is not the same as xperia S. so turn off your phone and connect it to the computer holding down the volume down key
  10. Your xperia S device would be connected in flashmood and it will begin flashing and installing the new firmware. keep an eye on the flashtool box because it will tell you when its done. And when its done you have to see flashing completed.
  11. you can now disconnect your phone and turn it on but first power on will take a while so please be patient.
  12. Now go to settings and check. you now have the new firmware..  ENJOY
